Quantum has a very successful range of tablet coatings backed by a team of highly qualified and respected chemists to assist in the design of functional coatings specific to customer requirements.
For film-coating systems, Quantum has both wet and dry systems available under the trade name PHARMASPEC™. Quantum’s film-coating systems are further split into HPMC- and PVA-based systems and are very specific in terms of functionality with regards to moisture barriers, taste barriers, enteric and controlled sustained-release applications.
PHARMASPEC™ is a complete system that has been developed based on the latest German technology. This system is a ready-mix fine powder blend of the highest quality film-forming polymers, plasticisers and pigments. PHARMASPEC™ is manufactured with raw materials that comply with the latest USP, BP, EU Pharmacopeia and FDA standards. This system provides protection of the active against light, oxygen, moisture and other functional components (sub-coating).
